Your tasks
The focus is on analyses of land-use oriented energy economics with respect to sustainability transformations. In particular, renewable energy policies are to be evaluated, newly emerging energy landscapes are to be optimized and assessed. CDR options and energy-related climate policies are to be analyzed. Quantitative and qualitative approaches are to be collected and
systematized as basis for the formulation of respective policy recommendations in the field.
Specific tasks:
- Quantitative and qualitative analyses of renewable energy systems and landscapes including economics of carbon dioxide removal
- Implications of the results for relevant policy developments
- Formulate and design policy briefs
- Publication of the results in scientific journals and their presentation at conference

Your profile
- Master’s or PhD degree in economics or another subject related to environmental or energy economics, e.g. (new) institutional economics, environmental economics, energy economics
- Knowledge and experience in quantitative methods (e. g., econometrics, agent-based modelling)
- Knowledge about energy, environmental or land-use policy are beneficial
- Proficiency in German and English languages
