Your tasks
- Support the departments CER, RS, and CHS by building a flexible data archive and management system for spatio-temporal datasets such as remotely sensed data, climate and impact model simultations, reanalysis and gridded observation-based data
- Downloading, regridding, reprojecting and regularly updating relevant datasets
- Possible gap filling of datasets
- Interactive visualization of metadata and available datasets for easy access for researchers

Your profile
- MSc or PhD in Earth system science, remote sensing, environmental modelling or related fields
- Excellent data handling skills with large spatiotemporal data
- Experience with high performance computing (HPC)
- Excellent programming skills (e.g. Python, R, Julia, bash, cdo,…)
- Experience with different data formats such as netcdf, geotiff, hdf, zarr
- Open minded, pro-active
- Experience with a scientific work environment
