The issue

The project

As part of a construction project for a bio-based solvent production facility, we are looking for a Contract Manager to oversee contract management on the EPC side.

Responsibilities

Job Description :

• Approving Contractor progress invoices each month by checking work progress and verifying the corresponding order amounts proposed by the Contractor
• Analyzing and preparing responses to claims, potential claims, and notices of hindrance issued by site contractors
• Informing the Project Manager of any project risks related to site activities, including safety, cost, and schedule concerns
• Preparing acceptance certificates during various erection and commissioning sequences
• Managing the administration of contracts to ensure smooth operations and compliance
• Preparing correspondence and maintaining records necessary for effective contract administration
• Reviewing and recommending contract changes, settling claims, resolving disputes, and negotiating contract modifications
• Assisting the Project/Site Manager with contract close-out procedures to confirm all contractual terms are met before final payments and bond releases
• Making amendments to contractual documents as required throughout the project lifecycle
• Supporting the procurement process by reviewing construction plans/specifications, assisting in contract preparation, coordinating contractor meetings, and negotiating contract amendments
• Collaborating with the Project/Site Manager to devise and execute action plans aimed at addressing potential cost overruns, schedule delays, or significant scope changes
  
  

Profile / Requirements

• Minimum 10 years' experience in a Contract Management role on industrial projects (EPC/EPCM)
• Solid background in engineering and site-based project execution
• Fluency in German and English
• Willing to travel worldwide
