Senior SOC/CDC Engineer (m/w/d) - #2669743

Introduction

To further expand our operations staff for the R&S Cyber Defense and Response Center, we are looking for an experienced Senior SOC / CDC Engineer to support our global team.

Tasks

• In the role of SOC / CDC Engineer, you take technical responsibility for the CDC Detection Engineering process and further develop it.
• In a global team, you continuously improve detection & response capabilities (workflows and toolchain).
• You implement and improve alerting and detection rules.
• If necessary, you provide operational support to our analysts (real-time monitoring, analysis and triage of events/alarms, coaching).
• You work closely with our global infrastructure operations teams (e.g., Malware Defense, Vulnerability Management).
• You create and maintain documentation (e.g., SOPs, standards, architecture diagrams).
• In projects, you provide consultancy on the use of existing solutions and the integration of new tools according to security standards & best practices.
  
  

Qualifications

• You're holding a Master's degree in Computer Science/Information Security (or equivalent) and at least 5 years of cybersecurity experience, ideally within global companies.
• You are used to build or further develop SOC/CDC structures in an international environment (including SIEM and SOAR).
• You are able to use and understand scripting languages such as Python.
• You are familiar with common frameworks/standards (MITRE ATT&CK, NIST, ISO 27001).
• Complex tasks and problems are no big challenge for you.
• You are a very good communicator, also when it comes to stakeholder management.
• Your written and spoken English is fluent, ideally you are also used to the German language.
