About The Role

Join Kerry's Biotechnology Centre in Leipzig as a Preclinical Research Senior Scientist, where you'll help discover and develop innovative functional ingredients that support human and companion animal health. Working with advanced preclinical models and cross-functional scientific teams, you'll design and execute research programmes, generate meaningful scientific insights, and contribute to the development of next-generation health solutions in a collaborative, innovation-driven environment.

Key responsibilities

• Utilise, internalise and develop preclinical models to discover and characterise new functional ingredients to positively impact human health
• Collaboratively develop and execute clear research project plans, analyse and interpret results using appropriate analysis tools and statistics
• Prepare scientific publications, protocols, technical project reports and presentations for stakeholders
• Provide scientific and technological support for laboratory projects as assigned/needed
• Participate in a culture of curiosity, continuous learning and original idea generation to drive the development of innovative solutions to support human and companion animal health
• Cross-functional collaboration with scientific teams in complementary business areas

Qualifications And Skills

• Educational qualifications PhD in a biomedical sciences field, completed postdoctoral fellowship a plus
• Full professional proficiency in English and German
• Systems skills MS Office, GraphPad Prism, FlowJo, experience with R, bioinformatics analysis a plus
• Experienced in good experimental design and accurate record keeping
• Effective written and oral communication skills
• Experience to prepare professional scientific reports and articles
• Independent, self-starter, with demonstrated ability to simultaneously manage multiple unrelated projects and deliver milestones on aggressive timelines
