Senior Business Analyst (f/m/d) 24/7 Gas Trading in Leipzig, Paris or London (limited for 12 months) (part-/full-time) - #2708328

The position is limited to 12 month and can be filled in our EEX locations in Leipzig, London or Paris.

Your tasks

Join our Business System Analysis - 24/7 Trading team and help shape the ongoing development and transformation of our gas spot trading systems and their integration within the EEX application landscape. In this role, you will analyse business needs and translate them into clear functional and non-functional requirements, business rules, process models and acceptance criteria. You will lead functional topics from initial clarification through implementation and validation, working closely with business stakeholders, Product Owners, Functional Analysts, Architects, Developers and Quality Assurance teams.

Your responsibilities will cover trading functionality, order and trade processing, participant and reference data, trading APIs, regulatory reporting and integration with upstream and downstream systems. You will facilitate workshops, consolidate requirements across stakeholders, evaluate solution options and ensure consistent documentation and traceability. A significant part of your work will focus on end-to-end processes and data flows across the gas spot trading application chain, including the alignment of business concepts, interfaces, operational processes and system dependencies.

You will review functional designs, clarify implementation questions and support functional, acceptance and integration testing. You will investigate system behaviour and defects, assess the impact of changes and help ensure that delivered solutions meet business, operational, regulatory and customer needs. You will also contribute to clear documentation and effective knowledge sharing across the involved teams.

You bring along

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Informatics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, Finance or a comparable field.
• At least five years of relevant working experience in business analysis or system analysis.
• Experience in requirements engineering, business-process modelling and the preparation of functional specifications.
• Understanding of electronic trading, financial markets and/or energy and commodity markets.
• Experience with APIs, data flows, event-driven processes and system integration.
• Experience in defining acceptance criteria and supporting functional, acceptance and integration testing as well as defect analysis.
• Ability to understand complex end-to-end processes, align stakeholders across organisational boundaries and translate business needs into implementable solutions.
• Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, UML, BPMN or comparable tools.
• Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder-management skills, combined with a structured, independent and collaborative way of working.
• High proficiency in English.
